10 ways to prepare yourself to find your life partner

 For the Ladies

1. Be fulfilled as a single person and live your life as an individual. If you’re not happy alone how can you be happy as an item?

2. Be hospitable, ready to make a home with someone. They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. You don’t have to be a master chef but having the ability to throw some decent meals together is always a good thing to keep a man happy. Keeping a tidy house is a sign of a woman ready to make a house a home. Let your presence and habits speak for themselves. You never know who is paying attention.

3. Set goals for your life. What is more attractive than a woman who wants to achieve something for herself? When a man is planning a future with a woman, he wants someone who will be a part of his dream team. They say behind every good man is a good woman. So whatever your grind is, whether it be education, a career or business go for it with full force. Be the best you can be for you and eventually both of you.

4. Socialise. Get to know new people, go to events, try a course, mingle and be open to meeting new people and build friendships. They say friendship is a great foundation for a relationship. If it doesn’t lead to romance you always have a friend.

5. Know what you want. It’s so easy to say ‘I want a man’ but what kind of man do you want? What are the things that are important to you? His culture, religion? Do you mind if he doesn’t want kids? These things can be overlooked, but are significant factors in finding your Mr right or oh so Mr wrong. No one is perfect, heck! Ladies we sure are not! Have a good idea of what you want, to give you the direction that will lead you to your Prince Charming.

6. Get your finances sorted out. Okay we all have bills to pay but are you swimming in your overdraft? Do you have a budget, or a financial plan for yourself? Be prepared to organise your finances. Be honest with yourself if you have outstanding debts start payment plans to pay off those burdens. Nobody wants to start a future off in the red. Its better late than never. There is no time like the present to get it together, with your expenses. Money can introduce problems, if it is not managed well and nobody wants to deal with baggage that can be managed with time.

Prevention is better than cure so to avoid any future arguments by dealing with debt and definitely save who knows what tomorrow may bring.

7. Set a standard. Right, you’re looking for a man but not just any man. Unfortunately life is not the fairy-tale where girl meets boy, boy fights for girl and they live happily ever after. As much as we’d like the Prince to be handed to us on a silver platter real life is not a Disney movie. Not every guy you meet takes an interest in you, is going to be your one and only. Unfortunately some guys just want to have fun. So know what you’re looking for and stick to it. If you want to build a future with someone, then don’t invest all of yourself into a guy that’s looking for something to do over the weekend. Take your time and get to know your potential guy.

8. Look good. You don’t have to get dolled up, like the only way is Essex girls, but let’s make an effort with appearance. Guys like a woman that is sexy and feminine. First impressions do count and even once you have established a relationship, keep up the pampering ladies, don’t let yourself go.

9. Power of prayer. We all need guidance in big decisions and preparing for a future spouse is no exception. A helping hand in the form of prayer, can make a major difference not only in our life but the person we hope to spend our lives with. Don’t under estimate praying for your role in a future relationship as well as your partner.

10. Keep it real. Be yourself. There is only one you. You are unique and don’t feel forced to change completely to please a man. Any guy that is interested in you should respect who you are for you. If he doesn’t keep it moving there is someone out there that will acknowledge you are special.
